A descendant of the original Whole Kit & Caboodle cleaning kit is the Tactical Cleaning Kit, named as such before tactical came to mean what it does today. Made with pride in Lyons Falls, NY, this is more aptly a universal gun cleaning kit. The unique cotton patches create swabs for 360 degree coverage, ensuring a proper Breech-to-Muzzle® clean for most rifles, pistols and shotguns. Six bronze bore brushes are included: .22/.223 , .270, .30/.308/30-06/30-30, .38/9mm, .45 cal, 12 ga. Contained in a lightweight, compact soft pack case.
This kit includes:
- 100% cotton 2" & 3" patches (10 each), 3 slotted tips & 2 patch savers®
- Six firearm specific bronze bore brushes with size marked on brush stem (.22/.223, .270, .30/.308/30-06/30-30, .38/9mm, .45 cal, 12 ga)

Not totally universal
While I do like this kit, it is not totally universal. It does not clean a .410 bore, 20 ga., or 10mm / 40 cal. I purchased through Bass pro and their web description is slightly more misleading saying that this is a completely universal kit, able to clan all rifle / shotgun bores. Had I visited Otis' site prior to purchase I would have known this is not the case. The main reason for purchasing this particular kit is the size of the package. In this aspect, I am very pleased.
Universal Pistol cleaning kit
The kit is portable easy to use and contains everything that I need to clean my handguns. It fits perfectly in my range bag and doesn’t take up a lot of space. It is the best kit I own and I have a lot of them. Otis is going to be my go to company for all of my gun cleaning supplies.
Great product with even better packaging
This is my second Tactical Cleaning Kit I have purchased. Now have a second one for a second home. Everything I need in one extremely compact & efficient "pack". I have more bulky solvents and lubricants on the side, but every tool I would need to apply said products are contained in this small zip-up pouch. Plan to give this as gifts to my gun-owning family & friends...
Works as expected
It work as I expected it to. The only reason I gave it a 4 star and not a 5 is that the handle for the cord is not that good. It seems that they could have came up with a better design. That may be to keep the cost down? But I would like to see a better one included. All and all this is a very good kit.
Portable Tactical Cleaning Kit
Have not used yet. Received for Christmas. Planning to utilize soon. Very compact and I carry in my range bag. Includes all the necessary items. Nice inclusive kit.
