While there is some variety in the components in each kit, the most notable between the two cleaning kits is the cases they come in. The Elite case is a soft carry pouch. It can be transported easily and comes with a complete Tactical Cleaning Kit inside for an even more portable carry option. The Elite Range Box comes in a portable range box, although it is larger than the Elite case. It does have plenty of extra room for adding to your cleaning gear. It also doubles as a gun vise. There are adjustable arms to hold various firearms and one specifically for AR style rifles.

Consider the Elite if you have a great work bench at home, or plan on doing most of your firearm fine tuning at home as it is more portable than the Elite Range Box.
